Robin Bark

Robin studied graphics at art school in South Africa and then moved into advertising where he was able to work on some motor racing campaigns, designing adverts and posters. He then moved to London where he studied ceramic sculpture in London. Robin now lives in East Sussex.

While he does produce works of art for the wall, he is best known for his sculptures of iconic cars – particularly Jaguars and Aston Martins which are sand-cast in solid aluminium from a hand carved clay model and then hand finished in polished aluminium, nickel, gold or other precious metals. The limited edition sculptures are then beautifully presented in bespoke wooden boxes .

He has a minimalist style that captures the essence of the subject in a pure and simple form. The subtle details is revealed as the light reflects off the highly polished surfaces imparting a sense of speed and dynamism.
