Martin Tomlinson

Martin Tomlinson has exhibited paintings at Silverstone, Le Mans, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Royal Automobile Club and in London’s West End. His work is owned by World Champions, Le Mans winners and his prints have been signed by many of the great and good of motor racing including Sir Stirling Moss,

His passion for motor racing started when he went to Crystal Palace in the early 1950’s. Since then, Farina and Ascari apart, he has seen every single F1 World Champion in action! Martin has raced and has even commentated at Brands Hatch. It is with this background that gives him the ‘feel’ and in-depth knowledge of his chosen subject.

Martin has just published a book (with Andrew Marriott), which tells stories of how he obtained the many autographs he got as youngster, which include nine World Champions. The book entitled “Joined Up Writing This Time Please” features pages from his autograph book, covers and pages of relevant race programmes. The book is illustrated throughout by 40 example of Martin’s recent work.
